Itinerary

DAY 1: HANOI – SAPA - FANSIPAN PEAK BY CABLE CAR (BREAKFAST & LUNCH)

Morning Option A (Train): Arrive at Lao Cai Station (approx. 05:30 – 06:00). Your guide and driver will welcome you at the exit gate and transfer you uphill to Sapa (1-hour drive).

Option B (Bus): Arrive at Sapa Bus Station. Our team will meet you.

Upon arrival at the hotel, enjoy breakfast. We also arrange a shower/changing area so you can freshen up comfortably after your journey.

09:00 - 09:30 Car pick-up to visit Fansipan Mountain.

  • Experience the World’s longest three-rope cable car system. The 15-20 minute ride takes you from the Muong Hoa Valley to the summit.
  • From the cabin, admire the spectacular scenery of the terraced rice fields, Hoang Lien National Forest, and the landscapes of Lai Chau province.
  • Reach the peak (3,143m) to hunt for clouds and enjoy the panoramic views.
Noon Return to Sapa for lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon Free time to explore Sapa town, the Stone Church, and the central market on your own.

DAY 2: TREKKING MUONG HOA VALLEY - LAO CHAI - TA VAN - GIANG TA CHAI (BREAKFAST & LUNCH)

Morning Breakfast at the hotel.
09:00 The car takes you to the trekking point in Muong Hoa Valley.

  • Walk slowly along a narrow road between the mountain ranges of Hoang Lien Son and Den Thang.
  • Marvel at the largest terraced paddy fields in the area. The soft contours of the fields embrace the hillsides, creating a stunning photo opportunity.
  • Trek down to cross the river and visit Lao Chai village (Black H’mong minority).
  • Continue to Ta Van village to meet the Giay (Zay) people—a small minority group found only in the Northern highlands.
Noon Enjoy a rest and a fine lunch at a local house.
Afternoon The adventure continues with a 3km hike through hills and a lush Bamboo Forest.

  • Stop at a scenic waterfall for photos and relaxation.
  • Arrive at Giang Ta Chai village, home to the Red Dao ethnic minority. Chat with villagers and observe their daily life activities.
  • A car will pick you up at the end of the trail and transfer you back to Sapa town.

DAY 3: OFF THE BEATEN PATH - SUOI HO - MA TRA - TA PHIN - HERBAL BATH (BREAKFAST & PICNIC LUNCH)

Morning Breakfast at the hotel. Check out.
09:00 Depart for a trek to Suoi Ho village.

  • Wander through tea plantations and cardamom gardens.
  • Follow buffalo trails to visit the hospitable Ma Tra village of the Black Hmong people.
  • Pass by a local school and enjoy scenic views en route.
Noon Enjoy a picnic lunch.
Afternoon Continue trekking to Ta Phin village, famous for the Red Dao people and their vibrant brocade handicrafts.

Experience the traditional Red Dao Herbal Bath.

  • Locals boil a special collection of fresh/dried plants and bark in a giant wok over a charcoal fire.
  • Soak in a wooden barrel tub in a private bathhouse. This therapy is famous for washing away aches, pains, and worries—the perfect end to a trekking trip.
Departure
  • Option B (Bus): The van transfers you back to Sapa town to board the Sleeping Bus to Hanoi (approx. 15:30).
  • Option A (Train): The van transfers you directly from Ta Phin down to Lao Cai Station (approx. 17:00) to catch the overnight train.
